Born in south-east London, photographer Nadine Ijewere's work spans fashion and portraiture. Using image to tell authentic stories, her photography combines her own interests in non-traditional beauty ideals with an honesty and integrity of vision that is unique to her.
First introduced to photography at school before going on to study the subject at London College of Fashion, today Nadine’s work is highly regarded and sought after in the worlds of both fashion and art. Her debut book, Our Own Selves, was published by Prestal in 2021. With over 160 photographs, it showcases Nadine’s endeavours to deconstruct industry beauty stereotypes while also standing as a compelling visual record of her career to date. Her photography has also been exhibited at galleries and museums in London and New York.
