Blommers & Schumm

With a keen eye for the unusual and a taste for the playful in their photography, the Netherlands-based duo Blommers and Schumm have worked together for over 20 years. Having first met as students at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Anuschka Blommers and Niels Schumm use the medium of photography to explore the spaces between what we see in an image and what we absorb from it. In doing so, they have established a reputation in the fashion world for their shifting perspectives and the interrogation of meaning and ambiguity in their work.

Blommers and Schumm’s clients include Fantastic Man, AnOther, Vogue Netherlands, COS and Viktor and Rolf among many more. The duo’s work has also been shown in galleries and museums, and published in numerous books and catalogues.
