Noemi Bonazzi

Set Design

Born in Milan, Noemi Bonazzi is a set designer based in New York. She worked at Galleria Salvatore Ala from 1976 to 1980 before moving to New York in 1981, where she worked for artists including Keith Haring, as well as for a number of art galleries. She has been a set decorator on film, and was a style editor at House & Garden for many years. Her work as a photography prop stylist has appeared in Italian and American Vogue, Wallpaper, the New Yorker, and the New York Times, among others.

Noemi’s years of experience in the worlds of film and fine art have influenced her unique creative vision, as has her Milanese background and upbringing. She has worked on the set design for the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute publications for both 2016’s Manus x Machina and 2017’s Rei Kawakubo exhibitions. She is contributing editor for August Journal, a publication on travel and design.
